Morphological and functional studies of immune system under variety of conditions
Description of RTD activities
Different IN VIVO and IN VITRO methods are used to study the normal structure and function of lymphatic organs (thymus, lymph nodes and spleen), structural and functional changes during aging, immunomodulation, immunoreconstitution, influence of sex hormones and neuro-endocrine axis, cytostatic and toxic substances, recirculation and maturation of lymphocytes, control of development and maintenance of lymphatic organs, development of tertiary lymphatic organs.
Experiences in international Programmes
Long-standing, more than two decades long, cooperation with researchers from various centers in Germany (Kiel, Würzburg, Hanover, Lübeck) sponsored by the Alexander von Humboldt-Foundation. Presently, 3-year research grant under the program of Institutional Academic Cooperation between University of Lübeck and Faculty of Medicine in Belgrade, also supported by the Alexander von Humboldt-Foundation.
Vigorous cooperation on individual/unofficial basis with numerous researchers from Estonia, Australia, Holland, Malta, Germany, China, USA, UK (please, refer to the enclosed list of publications in the enclosed CV).
