Multidisciplinary research in nanoscale materials, biology, health, environmental protection, nuclear sciences

 Description of RTD activities
Utilizing of potential of ionising irradiation for nano engeneering of materials and development of new radiation nano technology. Development of multi stimuli responsive hydrogel based nanocomposites by gamma irradiation for biomedical application. Radiation modification of biocompatible and biodegradable polymers. Modification of polymer surfaces by ion beams in order to obtain optical waveguiding structures.

 Experiences in international Programmes
Leader of the project Development of New Polymer System by Blending and Crosslinking in Programme of International Scientific and Technical Cooperation with Slovak Republic (2004-2005).
Working with a group of prof Joseph Rabani from Institute of Chemistry, Hebrew University, Jerusalem on the 5th framework project (2003-2004).
Leader of the project: CRP on Nanoscale Radiation Engineering of Advanced Materials for Potential Biomedical Application, IAEA (2009-)
