 Area of expertise (keywords)
» DESCRIPTION OF EXPERTISE OFFERED: Neurological/neuropsychological expertise in Alzheimers disease and related disorders (specifically frontotemporal dementia)
» CDR (Clinical Dementia Rating) certified from Washington University in St. Louis
» USA. Dr. RAJKA MARIJA LISCIC has spent 12-months as Fulbright scholar working with Prof. Dr. JC Morris
» Director of the Alzheimers Disease Research Center (ADRC) Washington University in St. Louis
» USA and during that time she finished clinical and research fellowship at Washington University focusing on Alzheimers disease
» other dementing disorders
» and the practice of geriatric neurology.
»
» Dr. Liscic has maintained continous research funding through the Croatian Ministry of Science
» Education and Sports since 1999. She was also P.I. on three bilateral projects between the Republics of Croatia and Slovenia. Currently she is P.I. on Frontotemporal dementia project (022-1340036-2083) and the bilateral project Frontotemporal dementia with motor neuron disease (533-06-06-0002) in collaboration with Prof. Dr. Janez Zidar
» University of Ljubljana
» in order to be able accurately to diagnose the disease and to deterine the nature of the differing pathological entities behind heterogeneous forms of lobar atrophy. She also collaborates within the project Pharmacogenomics
» proteomics of serotonergic and cateholaminergic system (098-0982522-2457)

» multiple targets for intervention. So far
» they passed the evaluation threshold.
»
»
» INNOVATIVE RTD ASPECT: These projects aim to determine a link and nature of cognitive impairment in patients with motor neuron impairment. Also
» we aim to determine the nature of the differing pathological entities behind heterogeneous forms of frontotemporal lobar atrophy in collaboration with Prof. Nigel J Cairns
» PhD
» MRCPath
» Washington University in St. Louis
» USA.
»
» The new insight into the molecular genetics and neuropathology of FTLD and MND will contribute toward an accurate diagnosis
» foster clinicopathological studies and quest biomarkers and rationale therapy
» Education- participating in seminars
» lecturing
