 RTD focus of organization
Faculty of Sciences’ main focus is on research in basic sciences, their application and connection with other disciplines (multidisciplinary approach)

 Description of RTD activities
Departments at the Faculty of Sciences:
Department of Biology and Ecology,
Department of Physics,
Department of Geography, Tourism and Hotel Management,
Department of Chemistry,
Department of Mathematics and Informatics.

The Faculty staff of 491 employees includes 310 teachers and associates (106 full professors, 31 associate professors, 64 assistant professors, 47 teaching collaborators, 31 junior researchers and 31 research associates).

Activities:
•Projects and national and international cooperation regarding:
•Participation of experts from the Faculty in the international associations and groups,
•Cooperation (bilateral and multilateral) with faculties and universities abroad
•Organizing of international congresses and seminars,
•Participation in national and international seminars, workshops, congresses,
•Cooperation with numerous international projects on projects

CENTERS OF EXCELLENCE:
•Center for mathematic research of non-linear phenomena
•Center of Excellence for Environmental Chemistry and Risk Assessment
•Center of Excellence for Reinforcement of research potential of the laboratory for ecotoxicology
•Center of Excellence for Reinforcement of research in Center for Meteorology and Environmental Predictions
