» International Scientific Forum Danube - River of Cooperation (ISF”DRC”) is an interdisciplinary association of experts and researchers devoted to international cooperation in the field of sustainable transport and tourism on the Danube. The organization is located in Belgrade and consists of members professionally engaged in the disciplines which are also important for the projects initiated by our partners.
» ISF “DRC” started with activities in 1989
» registered in 1994. Today it is internationally confirmed that the almost 20 years long work of the ISF “DRC” directed towards the improvement of all forms of regional cooperation in the Danube Region and on the River Danube
» with focus on the close cooperation between the Danube countries in transition

» despite of all unfavorable conditions for international cooperation.

 RTD Experiences

 Description of RTD activities
International regional and cross-border cooperation - regional and interregional studies - sustainable use of natural and cultural resources - foreign economic-policy research - consultancy activities - publishing.
The common problems and possibilities of development of cooperation between the Danube countries were studied in the most important areas of life, such as science, economy, culture and protection of environment. The areas of sustainable transportation and tourism were emphasized as the branches of economy which stimulate other branches of economy.

 Experiences in international Programmes
In its' almost two decade of work the ISF DRC developed a wide cooperation with international organizations, some of which are: the Council of Europe, European Agency for Reconstruction and Development (EAR), UNESCO, UNIDO and other agencies of the UN, the World Tourism Organization (WTO), the Global Environment Facility (GEF) where the Forum is accredited, took place mostly thanks to participation of their representatives in the activities of the ISF “DRC”. For example, the EAR represented its Master plan for the Danube at the 16th conference.
ISF “DRC” succeed to intensify regional cooperation between the Danube countries, esp. the Middle Danube countries and other European countries interested in this section of the Danube;
ISF “DRC” tightened cooperation with regional (for example with CEEWEB) and national non-governmental organizations of the countries of the Middle and Lower Danube and Balkan regions (esp. Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Romania, Bulgaria) and included in its activities other non-governmental organizations in Serbia.
ISF ”DRC” pay attention to interdisciplinary programs and projects and to international cooperation in realization of them.
