 Description of RTD activities
SUS B&H is a non-profit organisation whose mission is to provide active and continuous support to the higher education, research and civil society sector in BiH, by adding value and knowledge to individuals and stakeholders.

The framework for the activities and the development of the higher education, research and civil society sector is the Bologna Process on the one hand and the seventh Framework Programme of the European Union on the other. Within these two frameworks, SUS B&H is striving towards integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Western Balkan region into the European Higher Education Area and the European Research Area.

The programs of SUS B&H aim at providing assistance to B&H higher education institutions, university staff, students, academics, individual researchers and research institutes. The target groups of the programs are government institutions, the entire academic community, local and international NGOs, research institutes, companies and small and medium enterprises.

SUS B&H activities are directed towards connecting B&H and European universities, research centres, researchers and academics and establishing inter-university and international co-operation between B&H and European institutions.

The main SUS B&H goals are to help the development of the higher education, research and civil society sector in B&H in a sustainable manner in order to reduce the number of young people and academic staff leaving the country and place the emphasis on prospects in Bosnia and Herzegovina . SUS B&H works to enlarge and strengthen the established local and regional academic, youth, research and information networks. SUS B&H strives to enable access to information, advice, training, partnerships, exchange programs and research opportunities.

SUS B&H does not discriminate on the basis of – including, but not limited to – race, colour, national and ethnic origin, gender or sexual orientation in providing its services.
